Teja Vepakomma Senior Product Manager Adobe

Strategy is a hard area for Product Managers as it is difficult to learn.
I would like to share practical frameworks (with real world examples) that will help Product Managers make strategic decisions about their products.
During my MBA at Kelley School of Business, I got deeply interested in Technology Strategy and International Competitive Strategy. To pursue my passion in strategy, I also did my MS in Strategic Management after MBA. Since then, I have been applying strategy to everyday product decisions at Adobe. I am also a guest lecturer on strategy at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.

Takeways:

  1. Product Strategy is both an art and a science.
  2. The frameworks presented help provide a scientific approach to strategic decision making
  3. Certain aspects of strategy are still art and require intimate knowledge of customers and their needs
