1) Culture is hard to build but easy to lose. A strong purpose helps glue it together.
2) The smallest changes sometimes have the biggest impact.
3) You can never communicate enough.
In 4 years, I’ve been involved in 4 major organization changes in my product delivery team, and in the coming year, it’s likely that we’ll be making a change yet again. From building a startup within a 15 year old market leading platform, to a merger with our fiercest rival, and now becoming a global enterprise – we’ve learned many important lessons along the way. I’m keen to share these learnings with you, and how a strong purpose, a clear vision of the culture we wanted to create and an open and transparent environment helped us battle the change fatigue and keep us on track towards our goal of a building high performance teams.
