Happiness for Stressed Product Managers: 3 steps to build your resilience
We have all been on the rollercoaster that invariably ends in burnout. In early 2019 we independently went through professional and personal crises.
At one stage Steve was asked by his daughter “why aren’t you happy anymore?” which drove us to research happiness.
We found and tested evidence-based methods to improve our happiness.
These methods have helped us better handle challenges that have been thrown at us and want to share them.
We first shared this as a workshop at the Melbourne Product Camp last August with great feedback from the participants.
We found that product management is hard, people always come to you with problems, we’re never satisfied and always on the path to burnout.
There are scientifically backed ways to improve our happiness. We’ll be leading participants through activities that cover each of the below:
