As the product Lead for Flipkart’s home page, I have led the journey of transforming our home page to the visually diverse home page personalised for our millions of users. This needed us to optimise for users while also growing businesses strategically for Flipkart. This journey involved not just interesting product thinking like how to listen, build and prioritise the product roadmap but we also came across many organisational challenges like defining the role of a machine learning engineer to managing our hundreds of business stakeholders when the predictive model did something unexpected. Many of these learnings can be used when building AI first applications across domains. Since AI is invading all products and domains, I believe this talk will be very relevant for the audience.
