PMF Connect Sessions #2: How to Improve the Decision-Making Process When You have No Authority

Written by Published in News and truths, Product Management

We continue our PMF Connect sessions with “How to Improve the Decision-Making Process when you have No Authority” with PMF2017 speaker Nabil Naghdy next Wednesday, 17 January 13:00 CET.  In each PMF Connect session, the guest speaker will open with a few highlights on their respective topic and then open it to the audience for questions. This is the time to pick the brain of someone who’s “been there done that” about the particular topic!

Nabil is currently the COO of status.im, a mobile OS for Ethereum. Most recently, he was the lead Product Manager for Google Flights and is based in Zurich, Switzerland. Nabil joined Google Australia in 2010, and he led the team working on advertising solutions within Google Maps. Prior to Google, Nabil was an entrepreneur working in the online advertising space. He started Triana Global, the first online social advertising network, and led the business to its acquisition by ShopIt.com in Los Angeles. Nabil also co-founded ADZ, a real-time advertising exchange for Asia based in Singapore. Nabil received his BS in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Wollongong in Australia.

One of the biggest challenges we hear from product managers about their roles is that they struggle with getting things done when they have no authority over areas that impact their team and product. But there are ways to help with this, and Nabil has spoken at conferences, such as last year’s Product Management Festival, about inclusive decision-making and how it can positively impact teams. Come with your questions and hear him share how the decision-making process can actually be improved.

PMF Connect Session #2 will take place on 17th of January at 13:00 CET.
