On 22nd of March, we organised the first Product Management Night in the French part of Switzerland: Romandie. After successful editions in Zurich at Google HQ and Tamedia’s office it was time to expand to other cities in Switzerland. Our first host was Logitech, a company well known for the personal computer accessories they have been producing since 1981. We had the chance to visit their labs at their Lausanne research headquarters in partnership with the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), renowned for its science and engineering research and initiatives.
After a visit of their labs, Greg Dizac, Director of Product Management at Logitech, spoke about the company’s approach to product management and how the internal teams work together. Next, Roberto Borroni, a Senior Product Line Manager from the Content and Asset Security Product Unit of NAGRA, part of Kudelski Group, discussed product managers’ challenges working with Agile in large companies. Finally, Nicolas Sierro, Product & Project Manager at EverdreamSoft, offered a glimpse into a very hot topic at the moment: adding Blockchain to a product – with examples from gaming.
The evening concluded with an opportunity for everyone to meet each other. Our thanks go to Logitech for hosting the event and providing the snacks and refreshments. The goal of these PM nights is to bring together product managers from the surrounding area, providing them with the space to discuss daily challenges, find solutions, and become better in their profession. We’ll be back in June with a Product Management night hosted at Expedia. Until then, keep building amazing products!
